Replying to Friend gettin kicked out

ive known this dude ryan since 6th grade, and now were jrs. wellllll, hes a really smart kid, athlete yadda yadda yadda. he started smoking weed. then he started smoking A LOT. for whatever reason we drifted apart a lot, but we're still cool. so he starts getting into X and coke now...pretty heavy into coke. i guess he was too fucked to drive so he let his friend (who was probably fucked up too) and his mom saw him. on top of that they have caught him drinking and driving, caught him with beer, and know he smokes a lot. his parents are stupid strict (thank god they dont know about the coke). he got a call during 3rd from his dad, saying he was gonna get kicked out if he didnt shape up. i guess his mom is having a midlife crisis or some shit, and said that either things get better or she is out. so, he and this other kid (also a jr) are convinced that they are going to get an apartment and a job, live on their own, and eventually go to college. they have no idea at all... first of all they are going to smoke all their money away. second, one works at skippers and the other doesnt even have a job. neither will have a car. they are both probably going to drop out if they have to live on their own. wow. just a rant, sorry. its just hard to believe this shit is happening to someone i know. the dude was smart as hell, and i know its trite, but he had so much potential. sad as hell
