i think theres already a ton of threads on this in here but general consensus is UNR. super close and chill. i go to davis and its like a two hours drive but it could be worse
Truckee Meadows CC
Sierra College CC
UNR
Sierra Nevada
these would be the closest. Both Community Colleges are good schools, I hear. I did not go to school here, though.
There also plenty more colleges in Northern California, towards SF/Sacramento.
davis is technically within two hours -- it took me an hour and a half to get from davis to boreal the other day -- but generally on the drive up you'll hit traffic and it'll take you two hours or so to get to b-real.
oh yeah, and I go to Chico state and last weeked it took us like 2.5 hours to get to N*. we were driving pretty slow though, I have made it in like 2 hours flat.
if you want to live in so cal then ther is tons of colleges within two hours but it is all park down here unless there is a ton of snow and baldy opens
As far as SoCal goes, USC, CSULongBeach and UCSanDiego all get places in Mammoth for the season, so even though it is a 4-7 hour drive depending on the school you can get a lot of riding in.
I go to USC and have already got 37 days in at Mammoth this season.
i go to sdsu and im just over 2 hours to mt high and bear, but there are a shit load of colleges in los angeles and in the valley that are only like 30min -1 hour from skiing but i think the valley is the last place in the world that i would want to live.
