Question of ipods

i have a 20gb ipod one of the older ones and when i put the cable into it and connect the other end to the computer it comes up with a picture of a battery and a little triangle with an exclamation mark i believe.does anybody no what the problem is? do i need to buy one of those charger that plug right into a wall outlet or what..help me

try either resetting your ipod or draining the whole battery before plugging it

when you reset do you just hold in the circle and the menu button or is what you guys are talking about a diff way

and the battery is completely drained

Whenever that picture comes up on my screen, the only way I've managed to get rid of it was by plugging the ipod into a wall charger. A reset may also do the trick.

boil it for 20 min. i've had this problem tons of times, and i just boil it in a hot pot of water with a little epsom salt

well that was my question do i need a wall charger cuz when i use the usb it doesnt charge

if thta doesnt work you can always put it in the micro wave/ stove for 4-5 min

it actually has been known to fix a few ipods.

ha weird, the same thing worked for my dead toenail!

try also putting the ipod into disk mode, or take it to an apple store to the genius bar
