New Bloc Party

Anyone else listened to the new Bloc Party album yet? I like it but I was a little dissapointed that they didn't have as much hard paced stuff like Helicopter, Banquet, or Like Eating Glass. I think Silent Alarm was more up my alley, all of the stuff on the new one is pretty slow stuff. It is good though so I don't wanna deter anyone from picking it up.

it's really not catchy at all.

it will sell horribly because they did no press for it.
fall out boy is expected to ship gold, however.

I've had their new album since late September 06 (...lol) and given it a fair few listens. Not on the same level as Silent Alarm, but an excellent effort. Hunting For Witches and Waiting for the 7:18 are standouts for me.

I've been so disappointed in it. I had waited for something new from them, and this isn't what I had expected. I know Silent Alarm is hard to live up to, but this almost feels like a different genre of music.
I'd hate to think that when talking about music, I might eventually have to refer to listening to "old Bloc Party" instead of just plainly "Bloc Party."

The first 2 songs are ok, and the rest is brutal... The lyrics are like bad high school poetry, and the producing is terrible.
