i was skiing today in the trees at mary jane at winter park and i had the scariest accident i've ever had. theres this cliff in the trees where you have to jump down 10-15 feet to a little platform, then another 15 feet to another small platform, then somewhere between 15-20 feet to the bottom. well i started at the top and found where i wanted to land on the first platform and went for it. unfortunately i landed abuot half a foot back from where i wanted to be and all my weight went back and i fell the remaining distance down a way that is just suicide if you tried to ski it. Luckily i landed on my back between a rock and a tree. all that happened to me was a small scrape on my back and a difficult time getting one of my skis down.
anyone else have close calls like this?
oh yeah, and i went back to it on my next run and did it again, only that time i didnt fall almost the whole way.
