the porkies have been hurting big time all season.. they didnt have JACK for snow until the cold snap that brought a bunch of lake effect. it should be way fun now, they got a lot of snow recently. ask around for mike "dirty" sanchez and ask him how he got that name. he'll be the only mexican guy there. wish i could go this weekend. have fun!

there will be alot of tele skiers (including me..) there for telefest so it will be abnormally busy...

the porkies do not have jumps. on occasion they make one on the far skiers left run in the spring time. my buddy does he works there , but they do not have a park. they have sweet little tree runs at the porkies though. go up the chair by the parking lot and after getting off the lift go right and dip into the woods. reminded me of skiing out west. for about 1 minute. it is telefest this weekend. i still want to go. try some telein again...

your best bet to make a jump without patrol and mike tearing it down, would be off to the left side of the run on hemlock. we always would make one there. it sucks though spending half a day shoveling though...unless you have 10 people with you. OR. on that new expanded area somwhere i hear thats nice. theres little twenty twen twens to drop back there i guess. or, just ride. i want to hit some tables this weekend too, which is the only reason i might not go to the porkies. im just anxious to ski period, the cold snap is half gone.

whoops, mike just called he said it sucks up there. they have a lot of snow but its blowing around everywhere . the new "cat" skiing might be cool but he said the conditions arent all that great. plus its an event weekend so we wont be able to ride much. not going. have fun at telefest....
