I am running for a class council position and I have to write a minute long speech... Basically I am just going to get up there and wing it, but I was wondering if you kids had any funny ideas

when you get up there, tell everyone to stand up. when they stand up, tell them to sit down. then say "see, people listen to me and do what i say. this means that they already think my ideas are good. blah blah blah..." or something like that.

Some girl at my school got everyone to stand up, and told them to move a few feet to the left, and sit down... Then she was like, "if I can't move an entire school with a few words, imagine what I can do as class head..."

winging it= bad idea. even the funniest people who tried that shit ended up looking stupid. go up and make a bunch of false promises but make it seem like a joke. pretty much you have to go off on a rant about something that doesn't matter or everyone will hate your speech. actually, if you don't have friends, nothing will go over well. class speeches are just bad news

i won the student council president election with my speech. I was honest about how i probably wont be able to do alot of shit bc administration doesnt allow any progress. (without saying exactly that of course) Humor goes a long way in appealing to kids as well.

^^^Yeah I meant can, but as far as the winging it thing, I mean I personally hate election day at school because speeches usually are long and there are a lot of them, I think I will just end up telling them what I plan on doing blah blah, but I feel like that just makes my speech another lame one
