so i just landed shitty on a five today at stratton, and the heel piece of my binding just ripped out of the core of the ski.
what do i do? i just found the nearest fischer dealer in latham, and i'll drop them off there tomorrow or tonight, but what are my chances of getting new skis?
they were 06/07 fischer addicts, which sucks bc i'd had maybe 15 days on them tops. i also bought them off a dude on ebay, how would this affect warranty? thanks for any help

Fuck all of you kids who ski hard on you stuff in the park then break it and want new skis. That's not how things work. The skis won't be covered under warranty. The shop isn't liable unless they mounted the bindings improperly which is next to impossible to prove now that you have ripped the binding out. What the shop may do is remount the skis for free and if not it's still pretty much your only option. I tore a heelpiece out last spring but in my case the shop was responsible because one of the holes wasn't drilled deep enough causing the screw to back out and eventually rip out. They remounted the heel for free and that was it. So quit complaining and go get the skis remounted.

Sorry to be a pessimist but I've ripped heel pieces out twice and both times I got nothing. it sucks but they just assume tht it is your fault and sadly a lot of times it is. Good luck but most likely they will just heli coil it back in or re-mount in a different position.
All times are Eastern (-5)
