Nike to make skis?

I was at the SIA trade show about two weeks ago and I stopped by the nike booth. They had sketches for prototype skis that they are planning to release in the 08'-09' season. they looked so sick. They had sidewall construction and some sort of experimental non-crackable metal for the edges. i am of course 100% for the production of a product like this. What are your thoughts on the issue.

backfliptime, i thought it was plain to see that i was talking about alternative sports with my use of the word POSER... team sports are a different story, and something that this discussion isnt about... its about nike making SKIS and there involvment in action sports in general. and YES. Sammy C is, if not a poser, a sellout peice of shit who should have a swoosh tattooed across his jugular for taking the soul of NEWSCHOOL skiing and branding it with such a ruthless clusterfuck of a corporation.

lol after reading the whole thread...
damn sum guys here need to chill down

ADIDAS SALOMON got as much money as NIKE
so that isn´t a huge thing... if surface armada and 4frnt keep makin quality products they´re not gonna die....

nike acg make sick outerwear so why don´t start making skis?
i think this will be a good thing for the sport and def gonna help to bring it to the olympics
nike will push the sport!
and i never had issues with my nike stuff...

Do we need another ski company, maybe they'd bring money into the skiing community, but they'd be taking away from the creators of the sport. You're not gonna be all that artsy with some new Nikes. I think its pretty lame. All sorts of gapers are gonna be all over their expensive ass shit.

yeah man i agree completely.

plus i like the fact that skiing isnt as huge as other sports and its still kinda underground.
