To the people creating and maintaining the Park at Sunshine, friggin' RIGHT ON!
Almost everything in the park is set up perfectly.
It's got a super design to maximize the # of hits, and the layout is so ULTRA safe, it's ridiculous.
That step-up at the bottom is madness too. I love it.
You have to absolutely ACE the first two hits to clear the hump on the step-up, but MAN, it's a lot of fun.
The quality of the rails and their approaches are up there with the best I've ever seen....maybe tied with Breck in Colorado.
Breck had more, but that's Breck...who cares.
Pound for pound, it's A-Class for sure.
Mad Respect and thanks.

ya dude for sure props to the boys maintain that shit. Top notch, step up so smooth and the new features in the second section are so good. Best park at the shine in history... hands down. Except for when they had the wooden rail and shit down the green run off standish...hahaha kidding wow things have gotten better.

i will agree that the park has decent flow, but i am disapointed as ussualy with the size of the jumps. everything is so small. the left side of the second last hit in the top park is crazy short and the step up jump is small to. for the two "big" jumps at shine they are lacking. I know its all to do with insurance and the fact that next to no where makes big jumps anymore. the tree jib is sweet cep the transition could be another 5 feet taller just so it doesnt get ridden out as fast. other than that its an alright intermediate park.

man that one jump on the left is pretty big if you ask me.
And the step up is super fun.
and the wall ride so smooth i have yet to hit the tree jib maybe tommorow

the jump has a decent step down ut its like 25-35 feet long, the landing is steep but short, the wall is alright, fairly smooth and the step up is alright but the landing should be 3 times the length and should roll out steeper instead of flatining out like it does. not to sound to old school but like 3-4 years ago the jumps were big enough that not everyone and there dog could hit.like parks had 45-50 foot tables and send you 15 feet off the deck easy. cop used to be liek that to but its all kinda mid size now. just guess it would be sweet to see one big ass table again. none of its bad, just none of it is great.

this kids right, there are no real jumps anymore. Louise's aren't very big anymore, same with nakiska. What gives, is skiing becoming more and more pussy.

nakiskas jumps blow, i wish they were like they were 2-3 years ago, everything was big and the landings and speed were perfect, but the last jump at louise is really sick, its about 60 or so feet and the landing is really good cause u can carry far do and its still super smooth, u can easily go 75 feet and land really smooth!

Maybe you guys are all just better than you were 2 or 3 years ago.
Everything seems smaller when you get better.
P.S. How new is that big Loiuse Jump? I was there 2 wks ago and I don't recall anything nearly that big.
P.P.S. The long, shallow 'out-run' on the step up at Sunshine is textbook. The point of a step-up is to not be far off of the ground. If they were to put a steeper landing on that thing (ie. a more defined knuckle), it would suck the big one. You'd have to hit it at the right speed or die.

Louise had MONSTER jumps about 3 seasons ago. I'm pretty sure at the beginning of that season they had the last hit in the pro line at 85 feet, they eventually shortened it to about 65 but it was facking HUGE! And like JATS said, they used to launch you redonkulously high. Now they build jumps for jr high kids.

hey us children hit big jumps too. But anyways it is true there isnt a big park jump in alberta that i know of and i am dissapointed. well its about time for park riders to get into the backcountry and build some real jumps.

sunshine has a sick flatbar at the very top. same set up as last year exept not he two small jumps on te side. its one big jump. they also have a long flatbar before the streetstyle that is not nuttable and has a good jump on

street rails are fun in theory, but when trying new stuff they just dont cut it, i find that rails with jumps that get you onto reails really easily help for learning tricks because then you can take those tricks to the hard rails

Louise only has one park this year, its not the greatest park for jumps right now, they have some really nicely set up rails, boxes and wallrides, the boxes are perfect for spinning, I love the 50ft roller coaster that they have.

a street style rail is fun, but every park doesnt need 10 street style down rails, lets see some variation, they all dont have to be pointed down!

They just have to expand it a little bit and try to get some rails and boxes of in the early season. because its pretty lame if you go there in December

cuz i go out there with my race team and i'm from Saskatchewan so i don't get much park skiing and its such a let down when theres only one little ride on rail and such, then i have to ski with my team who are all crapp

ya dude i was getting 5s and 7s off it. you really need to not hit the 2nd table and really absorb the downslope.

so some new smaller features, a bucket jib thing, and down kink down box.
my complaint with the park is that the park crew should really paint the jumps and landings more often when they do its way better.

1st post?....atta boy. I've noticed that the painting is usually done nearing/during the weekends.
It's all going to be covered in snow in the next few days...SO WHO CARES!
