I'm not a huge metal fan, but i do like some of it. In general I think that 80% of what's out there for metal is complete shit. I also dont really care for screaming, but i totally dig the complexity and technicality of the guitar work. I like current bands like Trivium, COB, and haha dragon force if you can call them metal. But the legends like Zakk Wylde, Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth etc I like too. Also heard some stuff by Hammer Fall awhile back and remembered that I liked it, but didn't hear much.

not really, classic,grunge and alt rock is more interesting. metal is ok when i need to get pumped up to go ski or when i drive crazy fast on a highway other then that i dont have much need for it

the blackening hits the shelves on march 27th.  check out some of the videos for it,  it's gonna sound killer.  http://www.machinehead1.com/media.html .  To qoute the elegies dvd "They made through the ashes of empires when their spirit was at an all time low, imagine what they can do when they have full confidance in themselves"  I'm thinking that the blackening will take album of the year

listening to satanic music doesnt make you a satanist. if it did, thats like saying because you watch football doesnt make you a football player...you CAN be a football player and watch football, but you also might not be a real football player and watch it anyway. watching it doesnt make you a player. same with satanic music. you can listen to it and not be a satanist, but of course there are satanists out there who listen to it
