Nikon D50 or Canon Rebel XT

hey i didnt know if anyone could help me im trying to decide between the canon rebel xt and the Nikon D50, both are simularly priced, and i didnt know if anyone knew anyhing about them preformance wise

I've had two lower end nikons break on me. I bought the first digital rebel whn it came out, it still works great. Hope that helps some.

ya the canon has a more frames per second and more megapixals at about the same price so im really just making sure there s no reason not to get that

They have a larger lenses range and for the price, it's a lot better than de D50

A freind has the rebel xti. It is a really good camera, easy to use takes good pictures. The lens it comes with isnt very good, and if your filming at night then you will need another flash or source of light, the little one it comes with is no good for motion shots at night.

i just got the rebel xti today and i love it

ive used a nikon d50 and d200 and i think they are both so much more confusing than the canon rebel

Canon. all the way. check my photos www.steezula.com CANON 30D. Nikons are great but not usually found in the action world.

i have the D50 myself, and i really like it.  everyone has different opinions, but i like the Nikon better.

Get the XT but not the kit lense cause it sucks and get a nice lense and your set. i am really happy with my XT...got it on ebay cheap jsut be careful who you buy from! welcome to the photog world

both are good cameras. i got a d50 and it works well and takes nice photos. you generally see canon's for sports photos, but at the consumer level, both will work take comporable photos

Both are sick cameras, the D50 is what I have and it is a sick camera, I also looked at XTs and they were my next choice, both really good cameras

d200 from what i've herd is an excellent camera but its an extra 1000 bucks more than the xt. the d200 is useless unless you are doing some serious camera shootin you won't need
