i spent the whole fricking day trying to get a damn 3 and finally at the end of the day just wound up hard and threw it around. what an awesome feeling to finally get it
im pretty sure it wasnt penciled. one of the things i was trying to do was pull up my legs cause it was a kind of small jump and i needed all the hang time i could get
if u need decent air to do a 180 i gurantee that you cant 3 and for sure cant 5
learn to 180 out of ollies before you try to 3 unless your trying to leran tricks off cliffs which is a bad idea
That's not what I meant, I can do 180 ollies and 180s really easily off small stuff but I was moving to bigger stuff with the 180's so I could get better at landing switch off bigger stuff.
Everything this guy said is wrong, I learned how to do 3's ok, and I just went for a 5 and got it in like a couple trys, you don't have to be able to do huge mute 3's to try for 5's, and the 180's help alot, the hardest part for me was getting the 3, after that it's just like a 180, land switch and ride away.
From my experience, 540's were easier to land off big jumps than 180's. I was doing great 540's before i even attempted a 180 off a big jump. They just give you so much time and you really have to limit how fast you spin.
Thats just me though
yea i learned a 3 before doing 180, and now that i learned how to 180 spinning both left and right, im going to do a 5. anyone else have the problem of landing backseat after a big air 3 though? would a 5 make you land front?
looking back i'd say thats the way to go. i did 1's for about a month and just go so used to stopping there that trying to get a 3 around was way harder then i should have been
Good advice. For the longest time all I did was 180s and when I moved onto 3s I would always slow my rotation at like 180 and end up doing a 270 and fucking myself up. Go straight to 3 and go from there.
