when mac was in jepordy of bankruptcy, who was the biggest investor in mac? microsoft owns more of mac than anyone else. so yes, microsoft still has a monopoly on computers and no one is about to sue them. clever eh

^interesting point, but i would have liked to see an operating system that made me question my mac purchase. thats what microsofts goal should be. trying to retain their current customers and bring back mac transfers. I just would like to see some innovation, to go along with all the bragging that windows is doing.

Well the fact is Xerox is the only one who could pattent this stuff and they let it become public domain before the did pattent it for god knows what reason, any way yeah neither Apple or Microsoft, could pattent a windowed opperating system, little things inside of it they can but not anything with the actualy opperating system.

i dont see why it wouldnt. its basically incoorperating macs ease of use into microsofts capabilities. basically if ur not a graphic designer or scholor u have no reason to have a mac. and these arent microsofts target markets anyways. think about it. for households its pretty even now, and microsoft still has the tip factor of being microsoft. plus the every business uses microsoft, and the number of business computers far outnumbers the number of household computers. so microsoft still destroys mac in the computer economy. that is the point of the ipod and iphone and everything. mac simply cant keep up with microsoft with computers alone
