Hey everyone, so I bought some invaders for 250 today(06-07 model) and i was wondering how they perform outside of the park. I am not skiing at any big mountain, and the only reason im using these skis outside of park is because i will use them at my ski club at blue mountain. thanks

no you can ONLY ride them in the park. Period, youre not allowed to ride them anywhere else.
You have to get off the chair, click out, walk over to the park and then click in. then when leaving the park you have to click out, walk back to the chair... lather rinse repeat.

wow great contribution to the thread we really appreciate it. if your pretty light, you could pull it off i mean theyre very soft skis but if you dont bomb everything and go at very fast speeds you should be alright but definetly not the best. under 110 pounds you should be alright. over 110 not so sure,

Im 125/126. I can control skis fine, never had a problem with any type of ski i have rode.

They're decent outside the park. The edges don't catch very well to really carve, and they slide around a bit, but it's still really fun just to go on random easy trails and butter around everything.

Are you shitting me? Have you ever ridden them? Didn't think so. They actually hold a good edge outside the park (although I don't have a big mountain). They're perfect.

Maybe I need to get used to them first, but they definitely washed out more than my Invaders do, and they kinda felt like they didn't have edges...

yea i tried my friends invaders and they carved better than i wanted them to. you have to adjust your weight differently on the karmas and when you get it good they carve great.

they are fun ski outside of the park. Maybe the 120lb superstar that posted earlier had the invader mini or a short lenght. the 178 will ski fine outside of the park.

they are good on groomers, tough in soft snow and icy crud.

Wait, you have Legends and you're using Invaders for skiing outside the park? I'd rather ride some Legend 4800's in the shortest length possible than Invaders, they're a much better built and better performing ski.

i've used them everywhere and they never once gave me a problem. Of course they're the best in the park.. because that's what they were made for... but outside the park they are a decent ski.. no complaints...
by the way i ride 161s and im about 150lbs...
be easyy

The reason why im not using my Legends for ski club is a) I dont have them right now, they are up at my house in vermont. b) i am only going to bring 1 pairs of skis to my ski club, which would be my park skis because thats what im mostly doing. C) I dont want to ruin the edges on crud.
