I ski with a backpack mainly because I carry all my camera shit in it. Its harder to get on lifts and can be a pain if you're in the trees but if you're skiing park why not put it on the side of the trail and hike?
i dont mind a back big mt. but park its pointless, put it in a locker at the base, unless its your camera bag, its also a pain because it bounces every time you land, if you do ski with a pack in the park be prepared for a dumb ass 12 y/o to yell AVALANCHE!!! at you
Meh I don't feel a pack on me, you get used to it. I do recomend taking it off in park so you don't break whatever is in it. My advice, get a good pack that has support and cushioning for breakables.
I ski with a pack. Mainly theres just a water pouch, a camera, extra mittens, lowlight goggles, and some granola bar/ snacks in the pack. Its pretty small and I dont mind skiing with it. But if I am going to get serious in the park I usually try to get someone else to carry the pack for me. The stuff I carry with me is usually just my valuables and stuff so I dont need to leave my pack in the lodge or in a locker.
i can 270 out of c-boxes with a camera bag on my shoulder and i did an s-box this weekend wiht it, kinda sketch tho cus if i feel i woulda been screwed cus its not ma camera
