"that will make Revelstoke Mountain Resort North America’s longest skiable vertical at 1,829 m (6,000 ft)."

revelstoke gets a lot of rain and it is in the middle of nowhere as well. This plan is unfeasable, and even if it is put in they are supposedly making lift tickets 200 dollars per day because it is in the middle of nowhere and the lifts will cost so much to run.

I doubt it'll rain on all 6000 ft of vertical. Besides, it's the same at the bottom of Whistler, which is hardly a shitty resort. Also, Jackson, Sun Valley, Big Sky, Taos, Mt. Bachelor and many other popular ski resorts are more or less located in the middle of nowhere.
Anyhow, if it's anything like the Revelstoke cat skiing I've seen in countless ski flicks, it'll be amazing.

they should have a mogul run the whole way down and have a contest to see if anybody can make it down without stopping.

Or dying.
This bodes well for the sickness factor.

Yeah I heard about some of this about a month ago. I also heard there long term plan is to compete with Whistler as the premiere resort in BC. Supposedly they want to build a like 40 lifts or something crazy like that.

A gondola and a quad are going in this summer and the hill will just over 4000 feet of vertical in the fall, good for about top 5 in vertical in north america its first season out.
The area averages 40-60 feet or snow per year (yes, think baker amounts). Revelstoke is also 2.5 hours from Kelowna International Airport, under 5 hours from Calgary (less if the new tunnel is built) and just over 6 hours from Vancouver.
Revelstoke is also one of the premier spots in North America for Heli and Cat operations. The mountain will do just fine me thinks. If people are willing to throw down 5-6 grand for 4-5 days of Heli/Cat skiing, they will come for the resort.
