i think that resort has a possibility for a fuckin dirty park! but, there lazy as well as management is stuck on other things. all the rails r ride on. all there jumps r small. it needs improvement
I think the fact that they are one of the biggest and nicest resorts(in WNY) keeps them away from trying to progress the park as much...If holiday was similar to KB, in that KB has the intentions of making itself different from Holiday, by offering a higher quality park...Holiday would feel inclined to "step it up" more.....I like holiday where its at right now, personally.
I heard a Park Monkey talking about not getting to use Fidlers Elbow and having to switch to Foxfire....This late in the season! The Whale at the bottom of Snoozer is HUGE!
it pretty good for the valley, moonshadow has a down rail next to a down box followed by a table with 2 takeoffs, followed by a table with 2 takeoffs then there is a dfd rail next to an up box
fiddlers elbow goes as follows:
whale rail next to flat box (you need to go straight from as high up as you can go and skate to get enough speed to get on either one) then there is a flat down rail next to a down rail, followed by an a frame box (which you should skip and just tuck passed if you want to clear the next features which is...) a table with two takeoffs (hard to clear because fiddler's elbow is as flat as a cross country trail) the left side is longer but the right side gives you more pop and more airtime, then there is a hip with a landing that is rather flat but it will suffice as long as you stick to the middle to right part of the jump, then after that is what appears to be a vertical box, but today it was too close to vert to get onto without going strait on and turning on it
there is also a halfpipe that is usually completely trashed by gapers but if you go soon after it is cut its decent
In the rail park at the bottom of Mardi gras there is (from left to right) rainbow rail, flat rail, flat box; followed by a little jump next to a whale box which is also next to a battleship rail, make sure you check out the jump to it first because i was going super fast thinking i could clear right to the top and it was super flat from snowboarders so my feet caught the up and sent my hip right into where the up meets the flat, not fun
but overall it an above average park for hv as long as you're there before all the gapers are
im pretty sure that was the longest response iv ever typed
yeah, me and my friend hiked up the new trails that they cut and got lots of powder, and we found all kinds of natural drops and jumps, it was so sick, you guys should all hike up there and check it out
Can someone tell me why HV is closed? I just looked at the webcam and there's plenty of snow for late season riding. Haha it finally looks like winter there and it's April.
they had their planned date of closing april 8th, and i guess they just don't care about skiing now, they just want the snow to melt so the golfers will be happy, fuck golf, i think i am gonna bring up a couple rails and set them up on yodeler
