NS rippers vs pros on rails

Is it me or do rippers on NS fuckin school the pros on rails?? I mean some people on this site fuckin own on rails, so i would assume the pros at X would too. But at X there were only a few who even attempted a 270lip on the rails. I just think the pros kinda pussed out on the rails at X this year.

I thought that was true too once, then i watch finals at the us open and they can do everything these crazy rail kids from the easy coast can do too, plus more.

the x games arent judged as much on rails as they are on jumps. a super tech jump run with just average rails is usually better than the other way around. what i am saying is pros dont go for it as much in contests.

Its alot easier to 270 lip a rail on your 20th try then it is to do it in a huge comp under pressure, meaning while tryin to land smoothly to keep speed for the rest of the course.

well it might have to do with the fact that all of the rails at x are burly, like the stair cases with drops off both sides. that would be crazy shit if someone 27 onto that but im sure someone did

hey guys, rails are way easier to get good on than jumps or pipe and the pros have got more important things to do than try and slay rails in a little park. plus u dont make money outta doin rails.

But there's a few NS kids that I shred with that can lip 2 on consistently. Just go rip a Saturday at Park City and you'll see so many kids that slay rails soooo hard, and no one has ever heard of them.

well the thing is when you see a clip of some random NSer doing a 360 switch up he could take as many try's as he wanted, at Xgames if they mess it up it's over. They're not gonna do that trick they get once every 10 times.

I think that they might not do the rails because it is easier to fall on or to not slide the whole thing or land perfectly, where on a box all of those sometimes are easier.

270'ing onto rails really isnt that hard, even lip270s, it just takes balls, thats it.

Im not really that good at 270's on but if you are good park rider, it only takes a couple days to get them down.
