So I have some Salomon S912 TI's there demo bindings. I just got some new skis and I wanted to mount them true center but I'm not sure if I can do that with demo bindings Plus I was wondering if I could take the demo track off and just have normal bindings.
912ti demo bindings are pieces of shit... I went through the same thing you are going through last year, toe pieces are normal units but heal pieces are garbage, I pieced together some older 912TIs and used some of the new parts and springs from the new toe wings, you can probably score a used pair of bindings for 40-70 bucks, dont mess with the demo stuff, not safe for our uses in my opinion...
ya thanks man ya i got em cheap and i was clueless when i bought them but i'm still wondering if i can use them just take off the demo track if thats even possible
I used to use p10 demo's, and I really liked them. I odn't think you can take the demo tracks off, so I wouldn't try it. Just use them, and yes you can center them.
sometimes you can take the track off, but other times its an integrated system that you can't take apart. my old rossi power 100s were on a track and we couldn't do anything about them
I still say they are dangerous... the forward pressure settings were all weird... I ditched mine for a pair of 810s which I then put together a set of 912s... You need a special jig to mount the demo binders... so if your shop has it, you can do it, otherwise you gotta eye it up, not real difficult, but it won't be as good as with a jig...
