hey guys, i bought a pair of brand new dynastar trouble makers and on my 3rd day on um i caught an edge on a rail and ive fucked the edge. the edge has pushed into the ski, snapped and pushed the reinforced plastic up. my computer is a bit screwed so cant get a pic, but from that description the question to you guys is - are they repairable?!
my board recently had an edge break similarly to yours. Take it to your shop and they'll probably be able to cut out the busted section and put in a new edge. It won't be a seamless fix, but it should hold up on rails and high speeds. They charged me $85.
ya i kinda know what you feel i got this years tmers also and ive only had them for maybe a month and i already have 2 cracks in the edges. Im not sure if dynaster warrenty's your skis if you hit rails. I dont thik i will by dynastars agian.
the warranty should still be good. just say you hit a rock or something. last year i sent mine in with just the top sheet comming up, and they replaced em.(I wanted the grind plate on this years model.)
i took um to a shop and they have told me that they can fix um by bending the edge back, puting a new patch in for the damaged plastic, and filling up the hole, but that they arn't gonna put in a new edge as it would be weaker. anyone else have a crack in their edge? its literally in half, surly that cant be good?!
