Just curious but who here sux at park. lol. like i love skiing sooo much and im awesome on the rest of the mountain but i suck at park, like i can barely do a 3. but whatevs i gotta start sumwhere rite?
i skied park the whole day friday for the 1st time cause the snow was shit..and i can barley 3..im a pussy when it comes to terrain park jumps..ive gone twice as big off cliffs then in the park
i am horrible. absolutely horrible. i just dont try stuff. im too much of a pussy. i wont even hit things. actually ill hit jumps. just not rails and boxes. i donno. im a huge loser. i can 180. thats about it. did a 3 once. pretty sure i got really lucky on that tho.
oh i hate park, i dont see the point of launching yourself of a 40 footer to ice landing, i dont do it, i can slide boxes and thats it. i will jib of litte jumps in the park. i know the tricks and everything and i try them on natural terrain or BC booters, but Golden isnt for park, and i dont see myself ever competing in Park.
good job...keep pushing.. thats the exact attitude you have to have... always set a goal you want to accomplish...sometimes i like to just relax and go thought he park comfortable.. but other times i like to set my mind on getting somethign down then trying it til i got it... and for you guys that said u suck at park..dont worry about it.. keep trying. you will improve if you work at it.. and if not..big deal. just keep riding, having fun, and making some good memories woth your boys.. best of luck to you guys PEACE
Yeah, I pretty much suck. I can do 5's and sw 3s but thats about it on jumps, I'm too much of a pussy. Rails I can't sw up or 270 on but I can 270 off most things, yep. Oh, I did learn a tail butter 5 this year, those are sooo fun
i can do 5s, 3s with grabs, sw 3, 2 onto boxes, switch onto rails, 270 off anything, occasional switch-up. I am so inconsistent tho, the other day i was in the park and did feel like trying anything. My mountian just built a 40ft step down and ill stright air it all day but i wont spin it, it freaks me out. I use to have a real big problem with spinning because i would go off axis all the time and now i have a fear of spinning big shit, which is retarded because it doesnt scare me to straight air 65 footers
yo man dont sweat i suck to...well compaired to some of the ppl on this site..but im definatly better than alot of the ppl on the hill..just not the best hahaa...
I can do 3s, 1s and a few rails. First true year of park so more often than not I fuck myself up bad a few times a day. I live in the Cascades tho so I dont spend a lot of time in the park because I can ski pow pretty much anytime...except for now with this damn sunny weather. Icy as fuck so I will be spending more time in the park now. I gotta get my 3s completely dialed down off big airs and then move onto 5s.
i can't 270 on, but im pretty good at jumping, and can switchup, switch on both ways and spin off. i do crash quite a bit on jumps cause i tend to over shoot. but i can switch rodeo 5. and up to cork 7. i don't like spinning fast so unless i start seeing more 80 footers, i don't see me spinning many 9s and 10s.
i suck at skiing steeps and ice and crud cuz i have fujas that are missing 2 edges but i broke the 5 barrier right at the end of last year and since then ive learned a new trick every day ive gone skiing
ive been skiing for 13 years but this year ive been doing more stuff in park than i have before. some jumps scare me, i like boxes. havent tried any rails yet, but im getting there. its amazing what you can accomplish if you just tell yourself to.
i like the honesty in this thread. and there's no hate, which is nice. high five for honest ns'ers.
i'm terrible in the park. by the end of this season i'd really like to be able to slide a box, 180 small stuff, and straight air bigger stuff. we'll see.
for rails i kinda suck....i can do alll flat ones, and some f-d, i got a 60 flat a couple times
for jumps im ok.....some sketchy 7's and ok backflips off smaller booters....the bigest jump i can spin was teh booter at the end of inferno at MT snow last year....maybe like 65ish
I prefer jumps so that's what I do most of the time(when Im in a park) so I kinda suck at rails. On jumps I can do 1's and 3's but
ANYWAY WHO CARES THE GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN, TO BE MOTIVATED AND TO GET BETTER DOING WHAT YOU LOVE, AND THAT IS (FREE)SKIING!!!
AND sorry for the caps lock
i'm alright at park. after skiing a decent park (thank you whistler) i was able to learn 7's. sadly I haven't developed any steeze yet on my airs/spins. I'm competent on various rails but can only straight on and come out switch (got a concussion tryin to blind 270 out)
ive 270ed off and done a few switchups and the longest rail ive done is 36ft, but i cant even do a 360, i can only do a 180. so i do suck, especially at jumps, but skiing is the shit, its sooooo much fun its all i want to do.
But if ur one of those kids who makes fun of other people in the park when they're trying new shit, u can go fuck urself
if u know the park code (like dont cut people off and if you fall get out of the way as fast as you can, just be respectful and not a douche) then just enjoy skiing and challenge urself to learn new things.
I love all you guys that replied to this. Finally the truth is out. This sport is about having fun and progressing at your own pace.
It would be much sicker if someone lands a 3 for the first time than if Tanner just threw another switch 10. Id totally give the guy that 3d more props.
this is kinda funny, I feel like its an AA meeting for egotistical narcissistic skiers. Before this thread went up i sorta got the impression everone here was doing switch cork 7's on a regular basis.
fuck jumps man its not worth it. unless u started learning park from the beginning try shit in the backcountry first. you can land on ur face and it wont hurt. i thought i could hit big fuckin jumps this year, and i cased one hard as shit testing a 3 jump line and now im out for the season:( Id rather jump off a 40ft cliff anyday than hit a 50 ft jump.
I suck at park, though I give myself props for hitting a tabletop on my second day. I'm much better at just going fast... but I want to try more park stuff.. jibs and jumps. yay!
