So lots of people complain about how foam cores and fujatives and whatnot lose their camber, but really pretty much all of my skis do and it doesn't seem to really hurt how they ski. when I put my ar6s together to carry them now they almost touch eachother in the middle and when they were new they would have like half an inch between them. So does this really affect the skiing in a way I just haven't noticed or what??
It affects edge hold on hardpack because your tips aren't pressing down on the snow anymore. If all you ski is park you probably won't notice it at all, but if you're out skiing the mountain it can become problematic. My friend's gotamas lost all their camber a year or so after he got them and they're not nearly the ski they used to be.
hmm well I ski out of the park, but always on park skis that have dull ass edges anyway so I've never really thought anything of not haven't edge hold. thanks for the input though that makes sense.
my fujatives, i've had for 2 seasons now and i think theyre losing their camber. I was convinced that they werent doing that well was because the edges were dull. but i got em tuned and they were a little better but they still dont hold for shit on ice.
