Is X about SKIING anymore?... (was it ever)

Every year i watch the X-games its more hype more camera time on the skiers, some more hype, and then the runs of the top four contenders and thats it. This is just the begining. That gold medal had tanners name on it before the comp even started. Is there anyone on this site that would actually say Tanner lagit won? His second run had a cab 10 (mind you it was just an extra pencil twist 3 in the cab 7), he landed sketch, and then on his last 10 he totaly missed the grab. That is no where near a 95. Dumont straight up made Tanner his bitch with his run, and those judges were probobly picked up at the last olypic figure skating competition cause this shit not only isn't about the skiing anymore, but its rigged.
I think next year, Cosco should make it to finals, and then do an all straight air run w/ as many kangs as possible.

Agreed. They were all great runs and tanner acted fine. Anyone would be flippin out if they won the xgames. essentially, tanner spun some more (two spins over 900), dumont had one over 900. they had similar amplitude if you look and tanner had the flat 5 over the 5 and the 1080 over the 7. it was a sick competition and the opinions of the judges decided tanner, they both were amazing, tanner deserves props and so do simon and pete.

im allset with an arial 1260 no grab....tanner has way better style even if he didnt have the best run..dumonts 1260 was something you see people do off an arial jump hey everyone lets spin to win...tanner is the man..i will agree though espn sucks they should cover every rider all last night was is a drama mix between dumont and tanner

tanners run was pretty nuts, but it didn't deserve an 95, and dumonts was better

thank you someone who actually know what they are talking about, i said this in another thread, simon's 1260 sucked, had a sketchy landing, and was a whole pencil where as tanner threw a switch 10 even if the last 3 was penciled it beats a pencilied 12 and the rest of tanner's run was buttery smooth compared to dumont's which was sketchy even though dumont went bigger
