I would think that if it was left open for a while that it could, but if the lid was closed, I don't think it would.

yea i meant like with the lid on, cuz ive had a jar chillin in my dorm all x-mas break and i just had some and it seems like it tastes fine

Nope, can be safely stored without refrigeration. Since it's mostly oil. How long does peanut oil keep for?

it depends, read the label... i eat organic peanut butter and it doesnt last nearly as long as jiffy or skippy or whatever
