So I stopped by my local ski shop today cause I have some buddies that work there and we got to talkin about next years gear. Salomon is commin out with some real sick skis and boots next year. They are also commin out with a real tight pack. The graphics on the skis are ridicilous, especally the thruster, and the gun. There commin out with 3 different SPK boots and also a new boot called the Impact( there doin away with the x-wave) Just thought id let you guys know, and was wonderin if anyone else has seen them and thinks the same, and if you havent seen them you should go check them out.
^they didddent change anything with the core i dont think and its good anyway so all thats new is the graphic and its tight, and i have a hard time believeing you dont check out the graphic when you buy a pair of skis
i sorta glance at em, but if they have nice reviews and they have a bad graphic i dont really care. like all the t-halls...pretty boring but w/e its a nice ski
thursters (key jib ski) has a brand new shape, new wood core and new slant wall with the sickest graphics with a monkey on em.
the dumont has new pulse pads on the tips and tails which make for event better and softer landings. the edges are thicker too.
the foils have new graphics, no change to the shape or core, but why fuck with a ski that is widely considered to be the best all mountain jib ski on the market.
the guns are the same and that's what douglas and abma reqested.
flyers are sick rasta lookin!
4 new spks. not 3 - pro model, kaos, kreation and the chix krystal.
new sth (steel track housing) bindings, totally bombproff and the most badass binding graphics.
the graphics are all very ugly in my opinion. and the bindings are the same other than the track they are on. the problem with salomon bindings is not the track, its that the toe wings loosen and they just plain old don't hold you in.
it's cool that they are making different versions of the SPK, but I wasn't really impressed with them. The bottom buckle puts a way big pressure point on your foot.
and the super-fat ski, the rocker tip one? what is up with that tail piece? removable swallow tail? what is that supposed to even do?
