if you have a wide foot dont get langes, they are mass narrow, also you have to get used to the lange bang- langes are known for shin bang. if it were me it would be worth it to pay a little more and get some better boots.

/\wrong. i have really wide feet (can't fit into nike running shoes) and i have the Lange Concepts and they fit perfectly. They are such a nice boot, especially for the price. Really comfortable, great for park and all mountain. go for the Lange Concept, you won't regret it

OKay... first of all, Langes are known for their skinnyness, and Salomons are wide and comfy. That being said, i wouldn't go for anything but the Salomon X-Wave series... best boots on earth. The Teneighty boot is an X-Wave 6 or 7 with different color plastic and a bit narrower... plus the cushy foot pad. But you can buy the cushy foot pads for like $20 and you'll still save money. And the Salomon X-Wave 10s... the new ones are the X-Wave Courses i think. They are so comfy it's orgasmic. They are the same as the 'Pro Model' but with a comfier less race style liner... like the 10 eighties. And the X-Waves come with BOTH the hard boot liner and the soft one... and they are wider than the Pro Models. Finally, their are screws in the sides of the X-Waves that will lower the flex from a 10 to a 6 (Pro Model is 10... Teneighty is 6)... there is no better boot on the face of the earth.

the lange concept boot has a wider base for freeriding, read up on models before u use a company stereotype. that sed id go with saving more money and gettn 1080s, or xwaves. buying boots is second most expensive piece of equiptment on your skis, and shouldn't be taken lightly. if u buy a cheap boot you will regret it later. i had such bad shin bangs that i couldnt walk, then i bought 1080s and i could walk again. they were literally bracing my legs. since i got them i havn't had any more bangs. id get em mabe 1 size too big, just cause they are comfier that way and you wont need new ones for a while.

I have the x-wave 8 and they are great, but a little bit stiff for park if your not agressive.
I need a little advice me to, last year i had an accident when i was skateboarding and now my ankle i fucked up so it really hurt when i go big in the park, what can i do.

tecnica Icon Aluminum. Toughest to get on your feet, but the most comfy once you get going.

now that i think about it, i spent more money on my boots then boards. 300 for boots, and 180 for skis.

yeah same with me, i spent more on boots, cuz they def. are more important (to me anyway) than skis.

ya, boots are so inmportaint. i remeber i used to do a couple jumps, last backseat on one, have ice buy the chair jesse worked at, ice my shins so i couldnt feel them then go for 2 more runs, ice, then do it again.. etc...
one of the reasons i am getting the rossi soft next year, boots can even slow down progression if they hurt your shins that much.

I got some X-Wave's this year. Fucking awesome. Yes, a little stiff and I have a little slide room because I have narrow feet, but I love them. Go with Salomons.

if u r lookn at soft boots... i wouldn't really recommend, they are more of a begginer/intermediate boot. i tried on one of the soft boots (rossi or solomon, i forgot) it was extremely uncomfortable. the structure just doesn't feel right. the way you tighten the boot was pulling a tab on the back to pull on some springs. these springs were external and with a cross, they would easily be cut.

I don't think it would be that much of a problem, I'm a very agressive freestyle skier and I used soft boots and was ok, although when skiing more agressively, you're right I would prefer something other.

Bottom Line...
Seeing as we've heard loads of conflicting opinions the best thing to do is to just find a very core, responsibnle shop and get fitted. It will be much better.
