Wakeboarding next best sport besides skiing...

Id say so... Wakeboardin is absolutely nuts, wakestock provides the best summer fun, and damn it brings lots of ladies... The spor is un real, addictive, and the best sport out the next to skiing!!

i agree. i love it, and u r right, it is sooo addicting. there is a bad thing though. it is not like skateboarding or sumthin where u can jsut pick up a board and go, u gotta get a boat or mooch one, and do all kinds of crap. But, all in all, it isa second best next to skiing. also, if it is really hot out, there is water all around u so u aren't hot.!!

i love wakeboarding, but i cant see it progressing much further. and even wakeskating has already progressed sooo much as well. id say the future of wakeboarding lies in wakeskating tho.

some people call agreesive inlineers fags... and fruitbooters... i don't know or care... but i think skating is better. Oh and about wakeboarding, yeah, hella dope, but its true that unlike skating you can't just grab and go, you also can't use it for transportation... still tho wakeboarding is dope

the rails they are doing now a days are bigger then ski rails... but its cause the landing is a bit more forgiving when U bail off and land on ur back!

Although I have never wakeboarded (no access to a body of water in which wakeboarding is legal), the fact that inline skating is a)more accessable to the general public and b)does translate directly to skiing (esp downhill on an extended 4 or 5 wheel frame), I would have to say that inline skating is a better sport - for one who skis quite a bit.

i actually saw a skate/inline comp on tv and another dividion was scootering. it was, seriously, them gayest thing i have ever seen. the scooterers were horrible and couldnt land jack-shit.

wake boarding is freakin sweet....great off season sport...id half to say diveing or inline tops it though.....kuz i mean wakeboarding doesnt really help with skiing....still hella fun though

inline was sick back in junior high, just like the band bush. have fun watching airborne (which is a quality film) and seeing people laugh at you. but wakeboarding is sick tho, so is wakeskating, the two things in my signature are companies that friends of mine have started.

who cares if people laugh at you fag, do what you want not what people want you to do. But about wakeboarding we just bought a boat and i really want to start, they are decenytly expensive and all but everyone seems to think they are sick. Also i saw a movie and wasnt very impressed, i think so skiers could totaly add style to the sport even if you cant grab because of the line you have to hold on to, but anyways about starting what do people think? how fast do you learn, what is some basic knoledge to know, so on. any info will help, thx alot

well, about not being able to grab, try mastering the one hand hold of the handle. its tricky, but after a couple seasons, you should get the hang of it (note sarcasm).
also, if you want a good instructional video, get DETENTION. it will tell you all you need to get started. also check out sites like wakeworld.com for tips.

to all the rest, wakeboarding definitely rocks. my only problem is that i crave it during the winter, and i crave skiing in the summer. i just cant be satisfied.

wakeboarding is great, and as someone said earlier, you do need a boat, a bunch of people etc. But skiing is also as complicated, so it's all the same. Skateboarding is my other summer sport.

These things make me mad. COC session C.
