ok so all of you say spin to win is gay fuck switch 10s
but honestly, if you were skiing down your park and looked up and saw someone do a switch 10 would you honestly say 'that was gay'?

sw tens are def cool. It takes ALOT of practice to get them good and smooth. if you haven't yet, watch the john olsen follow run video, he does an amazing 10 (you can find it in the us open article on the home page). I don't think 10s are gay, I think tricks that are pencil are though.
I just don't get why people act like no one can do smooth 10's ect...

watching the pros throw sw 10's at the open made me realize how smooth they can be, they honestly look like 5's sometimes, and I'd much rather see both 12's back to back than a dub flip combo.

They are cool but it got pretty repetitive at the US Open Big air. The Kangaroo flip is definitely were its at.

yo, 10s are sick,its way harder to do than doin a steezy cab 7 or something, thats why people do them in a big air,beacause a big air is about doin the hardest trick not about doin the G'est 5 or something. so thats why people do them. the next thing to do is a cab 12 and everybody knows that landing forwards sucks so the just stick with the 10. so stop raggin on them just cos everyone does them.

i think some of the super tech stuff people are throwing with lower spins is rediculous, like T-Rains who did a switch 7 mute to a sidemute. Crazy. Or S-Dumonts 5 grab to grab combo in X pipe this year. pretty crazy. I'd like to see skiing going more in that direction

I dont like any spin without some sort of grab. Just hucking yourself uncleanly into a 10 is rubbish. Grabbed 5s look better. But the cork switch 10s the pros do are certainly not gay.

its not that switch 10s are "gay" but its just annoying how at a pro competition all the pros throw are switch 10s, 12s, and 14s. i think we can all asume that if you are compeating at a pro level you can switch 10 so why not mix things up and be mroe creative by doing some switch 7s, big floating 180s, zeros, or yes even a straight air with a kang.

if i saw someone do a decent sw 10 in person sur ei would be like damn thats sick, but if someone did a smooth ass sw cork 7 with a floaty grab id still find it more impressive

switch 10s are only good in my opinion if you get a good grab, and can do sw 9s sw7s sw5s. The reason they are so popular in comp is that its the best trick that wins, and ppl are doing good sw 10s, so why would someone do a good sw 7, its fucking retarded, they dont want to win then, so thats why a lot of ppl do 10s in comp, because they want to do good

at the us open you could see a sw 1080 at the end of pk hunders run i think it was such a smooth 10080 tail it looks like a 720 such a fucking sick style.....yeah pk

how would you judge a competition like that? comps are for hardest tricks win even though switch 10s do get boring to watch after awhile. if you wanna see style and floaty spins, buy a movie.
