ive already made like 5,000 threads on this but only because i wanted to make sure i would get the best ski for me, i have pe's right now but i think i want a ski a little lighter and less stiff, im finally getting new skis in around early to mid february probably, im 5'3 and 130 lbs still growing. i ski about 85 percent park and 15 percent all mtn, i ski at mtn creek new jersey where its mostly icy and ive narrowed my choices down to these skis
chronic wides, ar6, spk, mojo 80's, and these two i dont know too much about or if they would be good for me but maybe addicts or nothing but troubles, i hate noodles and i never ski powder i basically ski ice my whole life

chronic wides are super good all around and same with the ar6 but i heard that the ar6 is alittle heavy for some people. If i were you and really wanted a light ski i would go with a salomon

salomon makes stiffer skis, the foils are nice, and what ever skis you get just dont mount them center if you want to ski all mountain

im going to call chronic wides. i just got 06-07 chronics and they are super light. chronics are stiff, but poppy, and not as stiff as PE's. They have a nice burly waist for all mtn but great pop and perfect flex for park

ive narrowed it down to the chronic wide or the spk, most likely the chronic wide because its a lot cheaper, if i could afford the spk i would definitely get them though

well those are two very different skis. the chronic wide doesnt exist anymore if you're looking at current year models; its now the chronic blend, which is 90 in the waist. the spk is 78 in the waist, and be an awesome ski for you. its going to be much quicker edge to edge than the chronic wide/blend would be, and for how light you are, the flex and weight will be more manageable too.

this years trouble makers with the fixed edge would be a solid choice, nice fun flex, but surprisingly stable. pretty soft, but they definitely don't ski like noodles, i was surprised how stable they felt.

If you ski ice, why do you need a waist over 80? Stick to something smaller so the ski has less area and is lighter than beefier sticks.
