i ski springs every weekend...gets kinda crowded but i have been to snowshoe before on a weekday so cant tell ya about parthe crowded t but theyre jump park wasnt as nice.
the spot should be pretty good at 7 springs by then too so my vote is 7 springs.
7 springs will be rockin and theyre having a rail jam this weekend so all the rails will be out and they already have a pretty big booter (35-40 feet) depending on how it was groomed , and they should have a second larger one by then. And all the rails means at least 10-12 features all more than15 feet in length and as long as 35+". just avoid riding the 6 pack on the weekends and ride the three banger over the park(its never crowded) jea you deff want to go with the springs.
that 35-40 footer kicked my ass saturday i threw a 5 and landed off balance bruised my ribs and leg has a bruise almost the size of a football on it. but i forgot about that rail jam...does anyone know when the deadline for signing up is?
you can sign up that morning (saturday) in the lodge untill 10 i think 20 dollars for open with a 500 dollar prize and 7 for ameture with ski gear as a prize
are the competitors in the rail jam there like ballin? I can hit any rail and 270 on most, 270 off some, switch on, etc, would i be wasting my time to enter? should i just film?
kingskier i would enter if i were u...its worth a shot at 500 dollars...and ya ive been up ther eits my home mountain i go every weekend.. i know there is a 30 foot rail and a 30 foot flat down box i was just wondering if they are using those in the jam
youd have competition in the open class but prob come in third or below no less than 7 though. you might have a chance in the ameture class though and its only 7 bucks to enter and you could pick up either 500 dollars or some free schwag. the only thing is you need to get a park pass and you need to watch a vid and fill out papers and might not be able to do that before the jam
snowshoes got good vibes and all but springs new parks are steppin it up. There committed to accomodating the snowboarders and skiers. the spot and the north face park should all be up and runnin this week
i went to snowshoe yesterday.. the park was alright the landings on the jumps were ice and they were small compared to the 06 WV open last year... i hope they get bigger, all i could throw was 7s off the jumps and maybe a 9 if i tried...
but im going to the open saterday and competing in the rail jam and in the slopestyle.. then going to 7 springs sunday..
whos all is going to be competing in the open? its going to be sick well i dunno about the park but all the riders last year were sick...
Snowshoe always sucks when I go. There is a bunch of hype around it because the park is "Burton signature" or whatever and it is an Intrawest resort. All the rails and boxes are ride on and dont even get me started on the jumps, because they suck too. Go anywhere but snowshoe.
well i havent riding there much this season bc i go to school 3 hours away... but there were next to no skiers that skied park beside the kids i rolled with
you have to be 15 or under to compete in the amature class...and its 700$ for the pro and 500$ for ameture.
i think im gunna enter amature if i dont miss the sign ups for it...and i still have to get a parkpass and all that shit and i have to see if they found my season pass and if they didnt i have to go through a bunch of other shit..but well see...
i had it hooked onto something on my pants so it hangs down and some fatass guy sat on it and i wasnt payin attention and i got of the lift before he stood up and it ripped off so i like took off my skis and sprinted around to see if it fell off the lift or not and it did and i cant find it now...
