I'm going to post this and hopefully not get hassled...
So, I just started skiing this season (actually Thursday) after an 11 year hiatus. I took a lesson (like most suggested I do) and picked it up pretty quickly. I made it off the bunny slope, which was practically packed ice by time I arrived, and skied a few green trails (also ice) and got really comfortable after a while. I was able to get the hang of parallel turns and power sliding after a while mainly because I was picking up such ridiculous speed, I had no choice but.
Anyway, I found I really enjoyed speed and the few bumps at the bottom of the hill were fucking great! I want to get to the park and hit something bigger next time I'm out (next week), but what should I know before I step up? I'm not too interested in rails yet. I just want air really.
Sorry for the long ass post. I didn't realize I was still typing.
Peace.
