It was cancelled halfway through its first season because Fox are a bunch of bloody idiots. It never took off as a ratings hulk because of a poor time slot and the fact that they never aired the pilot episode, replacing it with a Lakers game at the last minute, so a lot of people never got into it. It was one of the best conceived, best written and best acted shows I've ever seen. And the movie which sprung out of it, Serenity, is a much better 21st century version of Star Wars.

Wow.. I was thinking of making a thread about this show a week ago.  I watched it all and read some of the books, it fucking rocks.  It's like a western space type of movie, it seems really stupid at first, i didn't want to watch it but my brother said the same thing to me that he thought it was stupid but it is awesome after the first few shows.  Go out and buy it, it kicks ass!

Yeh, even with a description like that it really doesn't do the show any justice.

The show is FUCKING amazing. They got 16 eps out though which is at least good, and I am not sure if he planned on doing anymore then that originally?

If there was anyway to bring back new eps of the show I would pay whatever it took on my part haha.

However most of the actors are all under new contracts, so the show is prolly dead.

It sucks because it really is THE best tv show I have ever seen. No other tv show has brought out as many emotions as this show did.

Wow im late on this one but i just finished the series and god damn thats a good show. I mean this is high quality for a movie, sure some of the special effects arent great, but the writing is awesome, the whole western space theme is badass, and the acting is suprisingly good. Anyone know if there is a chance that this show will come back.

Oh Haiii

So I watched three episodes, its pretty good, defintily some serious themes going on, its kind of a stretch but to me its about reconstruction, like AP US History, reconstruction after the civil war.  The show centers around a bunch of outlaws who fought on the losing side with the Rebels in some sort of war against the Alliance which is the winning side and now in power.  Anyway the show, so far, is very character driven, which is crazy, because theres also action, sci-fi shit, special effects, and the plot is actually amazing, each show flows very well but theres also a great sense of build and then climax and resolution at the end of each show which is how shows are suppose to be (not like Lost which built and never delivered anything).

Acting isn't as amazing as everyone has said but its not horrible.  I'm shocked that I've never heard of this show to be honest, its amazing for how unknown it is.
