Uh, I'm waxing my skiis and i can't find a straight edge thats stiff enough to even out the wax, could i just use the cloth thing to polish it until everything is flat or is that bad?
you need to scrape it. your cant "polish" the wax off. and you need to take it all off.
things you can use to scrape it: your other ski edge, the back of a knife, a razor(if your careful), basically any thing hard and straight edged. metal, plastic what ever.
ha, i just wax on and sometimes i dont scrape them off cause im too lazy. but i will on race days.
your still fine, there are no need to scrap off, the first run will probably be sticky depending on what wax u put on then it will be smooth after that.
well it depends on how much wax u put on, cause for some people they dont knoww how to tune their skis and they put too much on.
i know how much is enough and i just smooth it out with my iron to make it smooth and which makes it easier to scrap off anyways, and i know cause im a racer so i know what im doing....
