Stevens Backcountry - To the Highway?

So the first huge dump of the season, I passed some dudes with spatula's right at that icy ass corner before Highway 2 starts to really climb, right after Deception. This is where the power lines cross the road. Anyways, last weekend I hiked to the top of Cowboy and traversed the ridgetop, looking for a good line to drop in on. In doing so, I noticed some other tracks going down the other side of the mountian, towards the highway.
Has anyone skied this? I'm thinking it could be kinda fun, park a car down there and do it once on a good pow day. Anyone have any tips/hints/advice from those who have done it before? I know its a long shot on NS, might have to try TGR....

I picked up a couple dudes that just skiied tunnel last year and they said it's a sick run! Never done it yet but this might be the year!! Got to watch out for the troopers though I heard they are trying to give people tickets for hitching?

there is a 6 mile stretch from tunnel creek to the summit that is a no-stop avy zone. one way around this is to just hike/ski below the curve a little ways.
and there are some sketchy spots where you end up in nasty creek beds. Too many people follow other tracks so tunnel creek isnt much of a secret. THere can be some fantastic skiing down it, not to mention about 3500 vertical feet of skiing

Thanks guys... I actually haven't heard about it for some reason, dunno why. Maybe I'm not up on the whole "Stevens Pass Culture" or something. Where are these cliff bands that dlite! was talking about, anything that bad? There should be a snowmobile track or something, right?

wow if you really want to ski tunnel you need a good guide its not one of those places where you "take a sweet run" you got to know where your going or youll end up above the cliffs were are bad news and to far to the left and youll head towards bulls. get a guide.
