Replying to Way in over my head with computer stuff PLEASE HELP!!!!!

ahhh guys i really need your help,

i downloaded season one of The Wire off the internet

but its a .mkv file, and i dont know how to view it please someone walk me through how to do it, or point me in the right direction

i was so fucking happy when it was done downloading, and now im way fucking bummed out.
