practice slapping your board onto an urban style rail in the park, because they are usually set up perfect. when you look for your first street rail make sure it's not that steep, and just flat with no kinks, after that you can work your way up to massive rails. if is a handrail, cover the steps with fresh snow so if you fall you wont die. its a lot more work but worth it if you take a bad spill.
its never fun checking down cement stair but its almost impossible to end up with enough snow to cover any stairs. The run in and landing make way more snow than you would think
instead of throwing snow on the stairs, pick a short rail that only has stairs on one side. this way, you don't have to end up on the stairs, and if you do, you won't be on them for long. if you do end up on the stairs, remember to lean back a little and go straight, do not try to turn. also, make sure that the stairs are wet, they'll be a lot smoother to ride down.
so i sessioned the rail today, and i threw down a front board to light pole!! It was a 11 stair down rail at MCC. I only hit it once though, cause the pole fucked my board up and broke my edge and shits sticking out in a random angle. but yea it was sweet, wouldve had it if there wasnt a pole there.
Is it possible to fix an edge thats broken apart, but still in the board?
