Thats what the title reads, so weak. I love snowboarding in reguards with reguard to what I consider real boarders. Guys that know that how boarding and skiing are now seeming to almost merge into one sport. Not completely but I think the sports are growing into each other just like many other people do. I though this artical was just crap. Yes, Morrision made some very good points but the whole gretch, listen up, that one comp that gave finch less points for only 4 hits is unlike most other big comps like the X Games where number of hits dont matter. I thought your comment was at about a 5th Grade level.
I also cant stand this mass majority of the America that thinks skiing is still in the 80s, honestly I am done with putting up with that shit, open your eyes, all the kids out here in the midwest which is usually a little behind in trends anyway are all boarding rules, skiing sucks, and they have not taken part in either and know nothing about either, but think they do because they played SSX Tricky. And "two plank wanks" shut the fuck up, It should, Boarding pussies wake up, skiers are taking over. Dam straight.

Out here in tahoe, I see more kids on twins than on boards. Younger kids, like 8-12, I don't see too many on boards. Of course, most of the 20-27 crowd seems to be on boards, so yeah, I do think twins are taking over.

dude wtf im in tahoe somewhat too but theres deffffffffffff more borders your probaly seeing all the kids that used to race but rebeled from there parents when they hit puberty but im not gonna say tehre arent alot of skiers here but still and i found that most of them are horrible at skiing idunno hwy ecspecialy at northstar theres soooooooooooooo many posers but at boreal the truckee kids tear shit up even with free heel skis there 270ing onto shit just like normal skis its crazy

It was kind of a rant, let be break it down, I think..... Skiing is moving in the right direction, boarding is full of wanna bes and even worse kids that just like boarding and hate skiing because that is whats "cool in pop culture", and there was alot of crap in that artical that could be cleared up with the fact that skiers are charging period.

Northstar? I was just there, and all i see is 12 year old kids on twins hitting stuff, and dodging tourist snowboarders sitting everywhere. Yeah, there are some good snowboarders (some really good ones), but the point is that you see more snowboard gapers than lame skiers in the park.

Not really. Snowboarders do the same lines as Skiers with big 540 mutes in them and make it look just as good. Their park tricks are just past skiing and thats pretty basic

i am form Ontairo and whne i am sking in the parks i will see like to snowboards that are shredding but then by lunch there will be like 5 skiers owning everyone in the park. Where i live skiing is taking over the parks slowly but surly. Blue and moonstone are examples

It seems to me, atleast in the majority of places that I have been, that you don't realy see to many young snowboarders crushing. but on every hill there are atleast 5 or 6 12 year old kids that will land all the same tricks 20 year old dudes land. Now i'm not hating I am just facing the facts that freeskiing may just be an easier sport for people to pick up. It's kind of frustrating but whatever right?

this isnt a competition man...neither sport is "Taking over" both sports are just viben the others scene and theres nothing wrong with it, snowboarding way ahead of skiing, and personally i think the industry and the sport is alot better, people are to serious in skiing

i dont think thats true. honestly, i dont believe skiing exactly is going in the right direction. i think boarders have it down in terms of creativity of jibs and tricks. dont get me wrong, skiing has tonnes of good stuff, but theres so much more we can do.
right now its all about what jump is the biggest etc, but i tihnk we should be doing more creative things, that hole at the candide invite was awesome.

and at the mountain, there are no more than 3 pairs of twins on the mountain at the time, while millions of twinkish snowboarders case on the jumps and canal out the landings and camp for hours.
