External hard drive question?

alright so i just bought a 250 gig. hard drive for my iMac G4, i am using iMovie right now(yes i know i should be using final cut....i will be soon) and i am wondering how i can set it up so when i import clips they go onto my external hard drive instead of my internal, becuase i have like no space left on my internal.

you should be able to go into the program you use to load clips on to your computer and it will have the default as your C: drive. click browse, and change it to your external

I checked it out and couldn't find any preferences to change so I would guess that if you save the project file on your external it'll import there.

yeah, you should just be able to change the location that the file is being imported to. under import options or something. im not looking at it right now so i dont know exactly.
