Ya these bindings are straight amazing, you cant find em anywhere now...the only place a saw selling em was some jap site and they were going for $260 usd O_O
legit price, legit seller. buy these bindings, way better than the PX series. this is an awsome price for this binding, it's hard to find the pivots without lifters.
I just got mine from proctorjones for about $105 during there big sale. How are these bindings, tow or three years older, better than this year? I'm not doubting you, but I am curious as to why you say that
because it is a turntable heel and a layout that has been proven for a long time. i like the toe a little better to, there basically the same though. these have less forward pressure when set correctly so you come out at a more true din and don't have to crank them down to stay in.
there is nothing wrong with the px, a lot of us who have been around for a while just prefer these because there bombproof for the most part.
Someone pick these up, great bindings...and for all you people saying you got this years model and shit, totally different binding, and sorry to say it, but these are way better than the shitty PX model that you bought from this year.
indeed its a sick binding, but not worth more than $100.
its the older pivot series, and this "jib" model is no different from the regular older p12, p14 etc exept the design with the eyes and colors. i do not find this a bombproof binding as i have blown 2 heelpeices of this kind. but hey, thats me.
Neither are necessarily better or worse than the other; it's all a matter of opinion because each has its pros and cons. I haven't tried out the new ones yet, but I haven't heard anything bad about them either. However, one of the shops in my town stocked up on pivots before they went out of production and now I can get p10's and p12 jibs for about $150 new, so asking that price used is pushing it. I'm not saying they're not worth that--they probably are, but I don't think anybody will pay that much for a used binding because there is no way of telling what they've been through.
ok these bindings are sick, but that's just bs. screws are screws and they'll never be hard to come by. short screws from any year will work and most shops have them laying around cuz a lot of the bindings come shipped with both sets of screws and shop keeps the short ones if they mount them with the risers (some shops) sweet bindings though I have some power 140s from a couple years ago and the pivot is ill. I also broke some p10s that were like 2.5 years old and they gave me brand new px12s so pretty good warantee too when the inevitable happens since bindings never last forever.
i have 2 pairs of the new px's and they suck, they release so easy when you try to 270 on or something, ive taken them to a shop so many times to get them fixed and neither one gets any better, and the din is now at 10-11 on each and i weigh 140, and i keep popping out. ive had the pivots before and never had any problems at all, they only released when they should have.
don't contradict me. and the toe is actually a tad lower than the heel without lifters, so there is a thin lefter needed to get it to the correct height, making it hard to get. also, they don't make the smaller screws anymore, so have fun grinding those down.
