mine can be iffy. 1 ski usually drifts away from other(and ive been skiing for 12 years)this migfht just be from my dull edges. and they chatter pretty bad at high speeds
They are super soft and are not really good at high speeds. However.. if you wanted to go at really high speeds and carve on groomers.. then get race skis. if you want something thats super fun, poppy and just great for jibbing... the Invaders are for you.
i love mine, you just have to adjust your skiing to how they handle. if you ski any pow, you have to put an assload of work into it. Riding in the park is perrrffeect tho.
correct me if im wrong cuz i havent riden these but...
technically if these are symetrical and the sidecut( i know thats the wrong word but somehow the right one just escaped me) is at core center where the recomended mounting point is so i would think that these would ski better than any other ski mounted at the same point because the other skis are mounted farther forward than the sidecut.. i hope this made sense im pissed that i forgot the word im thinking of, odds are im gonna think of it in a few minutes
mine are pretty good out of the park but for carving they make longer turns and do not make sharp turns cuz of the smalled sidecut it drifts more but they are still a solid ski out of the park
hey that kinda makes sense. i dont hate mine out of the park, there pretty fun. i just dont prefer them in powder cause i get tipdive. everything else i dont mind
I ride on chonics for park b/c I like a stiffer ski and it still works well all mt. Never riding invaders before, how do these two skis compare to one another?
there pretty good for park but i've tried them in pow and there pretty good there (if you dont suck at skiing powder) ther'ye a little thin for pow but hop turns are great for them.....on light snow they are good cause they float...
i have a pair of chronics and 08 invaders, i ride the invaders all mountain, just can't straight shot like on the chronics, get the wobbles from the noodles, but they're fun. you can do it for sure if your wanting a park ski and spend a lot of time there.
since this is an old thread, i'll re-up my opinion again.
i like them all mountain now. i skied in over 3ft of fresh a couple days ago(no lie) and they were doing just as good as my friends 08 seths. i love em
I ski mine all mountain. They chatter really bad when you go fast thats probably my least favorite part. They are awsome switch and I went through like 4" of pow (which is tons on teh east coast) and had a fun time.
the invaders are the shit dude i just got a pair this season and they work great at the park nice and buttery and stay stiff when u need them the olny bad part is that the sides get all scratched off but hey there olny 300
dude they are fine from my experience i mean i am only like 140 lb but they ride fine i usually just do all my runs switch and they are fun they will not be good but they won't be too too bad super fun skis for such a good price
theyre a fun ski but thaey aren't good for hitting jumps over like a 30 footer cus they wash out, the break easily, they butter really well, theyre poppy, good for rails, light, good switch, really fun, ok in pow
I do know that my invaders are dope in the park, and super fun on groomers and trails, just jibbing around like crazy. I like them better than my PE's out of the park in every condition except fresh snow. And on steep tree runs I don't really like them because you have to lean back a lot, which can = shin bang.
Unless you're gonna be ripping down faces or steeper stuff, they should be good for you.
well broha the invaders are a park specific ski...
I loved mine in the park but like in pow the sucked lol espacially if you true center mount your skii's you have to work increadibly hard. But besides pow there not to shabby around all mountian..
They r great for the park, and out side the are really stable at high speed, ok in small pow after u get used to riding them there, i rocked my on the whole mountain last year and i loved them!
