Replying to The illest things to happen on skis will NEVER be seen on film....
Greetings all,
This is something I have been thinking about lately. To many people think that they need to film like every fucking thing they do on skis and then show it to us on NS or whatever, thinking that we care. Some may care, but I usually dont. Just get the fuck out there and ski and throwdown and quit worrying about setting up your camera, filming. You are just holding yourself back a ton as far as progression goes by wasting all that time worrying about 'getting the shot'. Get out there and start worrying about improving your skiing skills instead of getting that 270 on shot that you think will get you sponsored. The only reason people do urban anymore is to film it. No one just does it for the sake of hitting a rail.
So just get out there and live in the moment and take it for what its worth. share that sick moment with the people around you or just yourself and dont worry that we wont see it on some edit on NS or that someone else didnt see that fatty trick you just landed. If you really have skill, people will notice it without watching your gay rail video if you are serious about it and compete.
This goes for companies out there who sponsor riders too, get the fuck out of your office and get out there in the real elements and see who REALLy throws down. Enough of this send me a sponsor me video. Fuck that, we dont all have a dedicated filmer to tag along with us. Use your own fucking eyes and see who is good or not. And dont be so fucking greedy with free gear, hand that shit out like free food in the middle east. Enough of the politics bullshit that has spread into our sport.
This thread spawns from some of the 4bi9 shit that i see on here all the time like "OMG did you see our Edit!!111" No i didnt, because I dont care about how good you are, I care about my own skills and perfecting those.
