Just for the record is there a difference? Ive got last years scratch fs's and they are mounted the standard way. I want to get them center mounted but Im kind of a noob when it comes to that, what do u guys think is better? also is it gonna hurt my skis at all if this is my only re-mount? thanks

I had a thread about his a while ago. True center is farther forward than core center and on most skis it iwll make then ski shitty all mtn. You don't need your bindings that far forward to ski and land switch, I have my fujas mounted core center and it works great.

core center is the point where the weight on both sides of the ski is equal(nose and tail), true center is when the lengths on both sides of the ski is equal, if you mount them true center you would be putting more weight on the front of your ski than the back

nonononononononononon
core center is the center of the core... the center of the sidecut... center of the carving arc
true center is the true center of the ski tip to tip like you said

just because you think you know what you asked for doesnt mean the shop actualy knew what you wanted. most of the time shops don't understand when we ask to have our skis center mounted we usualy mean dead center

True Center means that 50% of the ski is in front and 50 behind. Core center is the reccomended mount and where the skis features perform best.

^ it got cut off, but for a 90% park skier you should get a true center mount. Although it is 50/50 it actually performs well in powder and on groomers.
For someone who skis mostly pow and groomers and the occasional park should get a core center mounting for good performance for all mountain.
So basically park skiers get true or above true
and all mountainers go core or around the core center area
All times are Eastern (-5)
