like 15k

or 10000/10000 or w/e

I'm not really sure but on sheets its for softness. On a jacket maybe water proofage or heat sealage if I had to guess

the first number is for waterproof rating, the second is for breathability.

bottomline, the higher the better.

if you ride dry pow, 5K is still shitty, but ok.
if it rains or snows wet where u ride, get above 10k.
if u tour and stay out for the night, head for 20k
