yes. if they are free then they don't do much. if they are like 15 bucks for the season it keeps all the gapers out of the park and the ski school and little racer kids. You need park pass rangers in the park for them to work well, and they reduce the traffic and therefore the landings and take offs are better

they keep n00bs out. letting you get in more hits, reduce lift time (if there is a park lift) and therefore reduces emmissions and productivity

More money towards the park (better maintenance, more features, more snow, etc..)

No non-park riders (less injuries, smaller crowds, better flow,  etc...)

Less people who have no idea how to hit a jump/rail (less injuries for them, less chance of them fucking up a feature)

yes. if you buy a park pass it means that you are commited and spend more time in the park. hence, you know the ins and outs, call your drops, and don't stand on the landings. you have less little kids or adults just skiing through, and that reduces people running in to each other, as well as inexperienced people crashing off the jumps

yes, if they charge for park passes, some of that money goes towards new rails, better equipment, more grooming, and more people to keep jumps and landings maintained

looking at it from the other side... do park passes limit the number of skiers to get involved in park skiing, thereby stopping the general progression of the sport in that direction? i don't know the answer - i've never had to deal with park passes.

yes, there are less gapers in the park, not as many people in general, and nobody cuts you off as you go for a jump

nope beause boarders have to get them too and theyre usually free or very cheap for the whole season

if you're a big park skier, buy a pass, or explain to the rangers that you're a visitor and know what you're doing. If not, don't hit the park

Ive never worked with park passes but if your like me and go to many different mountains, a park pass could get in the way sometimes.

I think the park pass prevents tourists from hitting up your park a few days a year, but the overall outcome is worth it. The park pass obviously caters to season pass holders.

I'm sure some are happy because now they don't end up going through the park by accident.

if they are starting out and want to progress, they will buy a pass even if they suck, cause passes are cheap. if they just like taking runs through, this usually deters them, and the don't really mind and find somewhere else to ski. (I'm not a gaper so I don't know, but this is what I'm guessing)

How is the park pass implemented, what would work better?

Waiver, I think a video showing some tips + guidelines would be nice if it was 5-10 minutes long.

How much does it cost, how much would you pay?

10$, I'd pay up to 50$.

How strict are they on checking them?

On a busy day/night,  yes.

it shouldnt affect anyone. if ur shelling out for a four day ski trip, an extra 20 bucks for a park pass isnt going to kill anyone whos is really keen.
hell im gunna ride like 2 days in whistler this year and ill still probably shell out for a pass.

Well what about if your going for one day/night, and the park pass costs 1/2 the price of your lift ticket.

Or what if you just wanna see what the park is all about and try it out for a day, is it worth the 15-20$ ?
