Try for a bus to fortmac if you can afford. And you don;t have to take like a newfie..,most comanies like educated workers. You will need H2S alive, First aid W/ CPR, if you have tdg and whmis it helps

try the construction type companies up north. They'll be looking for people to get ahead of the rigs...
Don't listen to these kids because they don't have any idea of what’s going on. $52.00 a barrel is not a low price. Of course its lower than it was and the price will go back up but you can't expect prices to stay at $80 a barrel, it's unsustainable. Of course everyone is freaking out because the price has gone down recently and they just assume it will keep falling. There are reasons it has gone down of late and there are reasons why it won't stay at this level.
Even at $52.00 a barrel there is still major profit to be made in Alberta.
I am not saying it is impossable to find work, just get all certificates and you can pretty much get one. if you dont have them it may take time to find a company willing to train and certify you. but deffnitally come people quit daly ecause they cant get days off.
