i tried to do this last year and its a super hard topic to get actuall info on, it could be fun but there are so many other topics that are easier like the war or global warming

I've tried to write skiing papers before, and it's a lot easier just to pick a simple overused topic like steroids, abortion, war, etc. But if you want to do it, talk about how skiing was overshadowed by the so called radness of snowboarding, and how there were a lot of posers doing it cause it was the cool thing, then say how we are starting to come out and be recognized, give the history, and talk about taking things backcountry. don't forget to put a slant in it and say how we are going 24 times bigger than snowboarders in everything :)

Throughout our time skiers have been widely seen as people with spandex or bright colored suits who strictly go up and down the mountain, but in fact skiing consists of the most well trained athletes that continue to push the limits by throwing themselves off huge cliffs and jumps.
SOmthing like that but try and shorten it a little. I was in a honors writing class believe it or not, im just to lazy to spell good and make sense of what i write on this website.

make it super conversational....almost overly conversational. that'll get you started and you can go back and change it around a little bit if you want to.
a definite positive of doing a paper on skiing is your teacher will have no idea what you're talking about and won't be able to mark you down for lack of information or some shit like that.

I did one on tanner hall and boyd easly in 9th grade. It was tough getting information even on people. If you're going to do it on skiing try picking a large group like a team. Tell how they started, how the company started, why they got into freestyle and their accomplishments. The more you have to work with the easier it is to write.

swweeet english paper on skiing? nice. go to like EBSCOHost shit or whatever. or take some stuff from the net. :S or write up some shit on some history of skiing or skiers or whatnot... :| if that helps at all......
