Uhm i was at homedepot returning ABS pipe that my friend bought cus hes a dumbass and i told him to buy PVC... neways i was browsing thru the aisles and in one ther was metal fence posts like i dunno maybe 8' for like 10$!!!??? then there was VERY long metal tubing like 15'+ also for fencing for like 15$??? why the hell do ppl even waste money on PVC???? cant u use like metal screws and attach it to the wood same way as you would PVC, im guessing i would need to drill a samll hole first... is this pipe grindable?? would i need to like wax it OR should i just stick with the original plan and go PVC....

First of all, you will need a special drill bit to drill through METAL. They are meant for wood. Second, like previously stated, they are aluminum mostlikely and are soft as hell. And if you use metal rails, it will be a hell of alot less portable. Pvc will make your skis last longer too

galvanized steel is not what u want. its wayyyyy rough itll screw ur edges. no, alluminum doesnt slide very well, it is sticky, so unless u had some genius way of waxing it. get pvc. its cheap, its long lasting-that is, if you treat it with respect and use it for skiing only, not like scooters or for skateboards idk- and its easy to mount on. and practice your spelling. it mustve taken me like 5 minutes to translate this thread.
