New Movie Concept

Hey, I got this new idea. Well, not really new, I 'borrowed' it from a film production a couple years ago. I wanna make a movie where anyone can send in their footage. ANYONE. It would be cool I think. And we'd have a bonus tramp section. Sound cool? Who wants in?

inline skating does it all the time, they call it battle my crew. i remember last winter myself, bent productions and biozard productions all talked about trying to make one work. i think a project of that kind would do well for all of the true underground kids who got it. if anyone wants to try this over just give me shout on AIM, email or NS.

here is what i am thinking...we talk put otgether a form of Battle my Crew on NS. set some type of contest up where you put like 5 minute segment together of your crew. have a special place in the media part of this site where ever one can post there movies. then vote on them and winner gets some type of bullshit prize. anyone who would be down for this just let me know cuz i think the NS boyz would wanna do something like this. does anyone else have any ideas?

Guitar, Marcus, et all, that is a sweet idea. But if you have ever edited filming and stuff(which I am sure you have if you suggested the idea), you know it will take FOREVER if everyone sends you footage. Second, the 'crew' idea is pretty dope, problem is in many places there are only a few guys that ski together and do so progressively. If I sent in a video it would look like the FARP trailer. hahahah ;)

We would like to get all the tapes before 15th of June.

Here are some practical tips that are worth while considering when filming and sending us tapes.

- Send a tape that only includes the best tricks. It saves us a lot of time when we don't have search the whole tape for good stuff.

- Use a tripod whenever possible.

- You can do wonders with different types of lenses.Don't bother with the really cheap ones, though. They don't do anyone justice.

- Mini DV's have the ability to capture sound pretty well. Keep this in mind when you're filming rails.

- All tapes have an internal timeline. Try to avoid cutting this timeline, since it makes the capture of clips a real b***h... Use the End Search- function of the camera whenever possible.

- You don't necessarily need a 3 CCD camera to get good stuff. However, single chips are only sufficient when the weather is perfect. Don't bother taking the camera out if it's cloudy.

- Label the tape(s) clearly and include your contact information with it.

- Unfortunately we can not guarantee you any dough of the tapes, but hey, how does your trick in front of world wide audience sound?

- Please send us MiniDV, DVCam or better tapes.

- Contact us before you decide send anything.

I'll be in it dude, I didn't film much this year but I will next year and hopefully I'll get some good footy at camp. message 'Ibemeubeu' (or something like that) if he's ever on, I think he tried to do it this year and I'm sure he has plenty of advice.

This has already been done but none of you would remember it. A dude made a newschool/jib movie the same year as Degenerates but without the help of the internet. He just advertised on the few ski sites that existed and in magazines and older movies. You sent in your footy and he edited it together and then you could buy a copy for $5. My buddy got one shot of him doing a switch flare off a table in it, it was pretty tight.
