Metal Rails vs. PVC

I found these metal rails online, the only thing is that they're technically skating rails. I think they'll work just the same and they're like 50$. I also think they'll last longer than PVC and be sturdier. How much does it cost to do a PVC rail? Will the PVC rails work just as well as the metal ones or is it worth it to spend a little bit more?
